Conversation

A conversation brings together the messages, related attachments, and history of an exchange in Kitemesh.

Resource

A resource is a file made available inside the product. It can be used in a chat and attached to a team, a model, or a conversation depending on its scope.

API resource

An API resource is a read-only GET connection that lets an agent retrieve external context during a chat.

Tool

A tool is a configurable HTTP action that allows the assistant to interact with an external app or API.

Tool approval

Tool approval is the validation flow that lets a user approve or deny specific tool executions before they run.

MCP

MCP connects Model Context Protocol tools so they can be reviewed, shared, and used by agents in Kitemesh.

Custom model

A custom model combines an LLM, a system instruction, and visibility settings to create reusable behavior.

Group model

A group model combines a brain, agents, and an operating mode to handle a request in chat.

Brain

The brain is the main model inside a group model. It coordinates the response and, depending on the selected mode, can organize the work done by the agents.

Agent

An agent is a specialized component inside a group model. Each agent can have a role or an instruction override.

Agent Hub

Agent Hub is the catalog of public agents and public groups available for reuse.

Vault

The vault stores secrets used by BYOK models and API tools.

Share scope

A share scope defines where an object is available, such as a team, custom model, or group model.

Reasoning effort

Reasoning effort controls how much reasoning a compatible model target should apply before answering.

BYOK

BYOK means the model uses a secret provided by the user or the team through the vault.

Team

A team is a shared workspace used to collaborate and share resources, models, and API access.

API token

An API token grants access to the Kitemesh API with a defined scope across groups, tools, and resources.
